In his role as EVP and managing director of local media, Matthew (Matt) O’Grady is responsible for all of Nielsen’s local television and audio clients. Matt leads strategy, development and enhancements for Nielsen’s products and services to ensure continued growth in the local advertising marketplace. Since joining Nielsen over a decade ago, Matt has had numerous executive positions within the company, including Executive Vice President of Media Product Leadership and President of Nielsen Claritas. Before joining Nielsen, he held management positions with National Decision Systems, AT&T and the Daniel Yankelovich Group. He works closely with industry associations including the Media Ratings Council, TVB and COLTAM. Matt is the Nielsen Sponsor for the Local Alliance and the Policy Guidelines Committee and sits on the board of the Radio Advertising Bureau. He is a frequent presenter at industry associations and conferences, and has published articles in American Demographics, Business Geographic and American Banker, among others. Matt holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
