Jack has a successful track record across several technology-focused roles within the group and across the industry. Prior to his current role, he was global Chief Strategy Officer for [m]Platform, where he defined and developed an integrated suite of products across programmatic and biddable media.
Previously, Jack was the Chief Product Officer for Simulmedia, where he led product, technology and intellectual property strategies for data-driven linear television. Jack also co-founded and was CEO of Solariat, a venture-backed startup company (sold to Genysys) that used machine learning and natural language processing to automate customer service and advertising in social media and user conversations.
Before Solariat, he founded and formed The Media Innovation Group (The MIG, now Xaxis) for WPP following its acquisition of 24/7 Media. Jack’s work at 24/7 led to the company’s acquisition, and once inside WPP, he conceived and built the ZAP and Zeus platforms to help agencies improve planning, buying, trafficking and optimizing digital media ad campaigns.
Jack serves on the board of the WPP Data Alliance and is Board Member Emeritus of The University of Kentucky College of Communications. His commentary has been featured by The New York Times, Newsweek, The New York Post, MediaPost, Business Insider, The Advertising Research Foundation, ANA, EGTA, The Joint Statistical Meetings and others.
Jack is a native of Kentucky and studied music and accounting at The University of Kentucky (Go Cats!) while tutoring Computer Science. In his free time, he enjoys photography, collects extinct cameras and builds robots with his kids. He lives in New York with his wife, two daughters and rambunctious hound dog.
