Nielsen is evolving its cross-platform content measurement solutions to give every corner of the media industry – studios, distributors, content creators, rights holders, and brands – a complete, unified view of how their programming performs everywhere people watch. The goal of this suite of future products is to connect viewing data across all screens to reveal true total reach and audience engagement. This provides broader coverage, establishes competitive information symmetry, and a trusted, independent third party solution for publishers to use to make audience claims.
Core to these next-generation products, which are slated to roll out in early 2027, is direct publisher first-party streaming integrations combined with Nielsen’s unique data sets. By pairing proprietary partner streaming data with Nielsen’s national panels and third party big data, the next suite of products will provide comprehensive reach and time spent measurement at scale, providing a view into the fragmented content ecosystem that sample-based estimates often miss.
Among the innovative features planned for these advancements are cross-platform metadata integration fused with audience viewership and a new natural language, AI-assisted interface, creating a fully intuitive and user-friendly client experience.
Following the completion of rigorous testing and strategic introduction, the new product suite will also eventually inform an array of key reports issued by Nielsen, including future versions of The Gauge.
