Latest data reveals steady distributor rankings, a seasonal shift toward digital streaming, and key movements in the top ten.
Warsaw, Poland, 21.05.26: Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data, and media intelligence, has today released its All Screens Video Landscape Report for April 2026.
The latest data highlights a highly stable market at the top, with Warner Bros. Discovery once again retaining the number one content distributor position it has held since the start of the year.
However, the battle for the remaining podium spots intensified; Polsat successfully reclaimed second place, pushing public broadcaster TVP down to third. Additionally, reflecting changing multi-screen habits, ByteDance (TikTok) came into the top 10 distributor rankings, forcing a slight drop for Netflix.
The All Screens Video Landscape Report tracks total household viewership (defined as a combination of total reach and time spent) in Poland across four screens – TVs, PCs/laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
As predictable seasonal shifts and warmer spring weather arrived in April, total viewership across all screens saw a minor decline compared to the sports-heavy month of March. This dip was entirely driven by a reduction in traditional linear TV viewing. Conversely, digital streaming bucked the seasonal trend, growing both in total time spent and overall viewer numbers.
Lucyna Koba, Market Leader, Nielsen Poland, said: “April delivered a period of consolidation for Polish broadcasters, but beneath the surface, we are seeing classic seasonal transitions and strategic shifts. Without the massive ‘appointment to view’ draw of March’s national football fixtures, TVP surrendered the second-place spot to Polsat. Polsat’s climb back to the number two position—for the first time since January—was heavily fueled by the business end of its major spring flagship realities, including Dancing with the Stars and Farma, which successfully anchored linear audiences.
“Simultaneously, the data shows the digital migration accelerating as the weather warms. Traditional TV took its expected spring dip, but streaming grew, and ByteDance’s entry into the top 10 underscores just how aggressively short-form mobile video is competing for the attention of Polish consumers.”
