NIELSEN SINGAPORE RECOGNIZED AS A TOP COMPANY FOR EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND JOAN KOH IS EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR 2016

Singapore – 07 Dec 2016 – Nielsen has been awarded the Employee Engagement of the Year (Consulting category) at the Singapore Business Review (SBR) Management Excellence Awards & Business Ranking Awards 2016 on 06 December.

In addition to the Employee Engagement of the Year award, Joan Koh has been named the Executive of the Year (Consulting category) at the presentation ceremony in Shangri-La hotel.  Moreover, Joan was awarded ‘50 of Asia’s Woman Leaders of 2016’ by the CMO Asia & World Brand Congress.

The prestigious awards recognized trailblazing individuals and teams whose initiatives have brought tangible business gains for their company’s operations.

The Employee Engagement of the Year examined the effectiveness of the employee engagement and career development strategies and their impact.  The winning formula was our unique Nielsen Employee Experience – “You can be you”, “You can make a difference” and “You can grow with us” which embraces a diverse and highly inclusive culture to provide a gratifying and meaningful platform for associates to contribute, grow and connect with one another and teams, and with the communities, tertiary institutions, industry partners and clients in Singapore. 

The Executive of the Year acknowledged executives with exceptional leadership in driving growth, sustainability and innovation to the business. Joan was recognized as a forerunner in promoting leadership development programs that built on a solid culture of diversity and inclusion within Nielsen.  This is in addition to her contributions to the industry through her long-term presidency at the Market Research Society Singapore, and her consistent works with numerous tertiary institutions to develop and grow the next generations of market research talents in Singapore. Also, Joan’s firm connections and partnerships with industry players, government bodies and business leaders are testament to her superior management and strong influence that has brought value to the company, and establishments that Nielsen serves.
